Here are some frequently asked questions:

Are there membership fees?

Yes. To help us provide farm tours, educational programs, and to help us with our overhead costs, we ask that you pay an annual fee of $25 per household for one calendar year.

Will I be able to choose what I want?

Yes. Our A-La-Carte CSA is not like most CSAs (including our Winter Classic CSA) where the farmer chooses what you get and everyone gets the same box. With A-La-Carte, you get to order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want. A weekly email lists the produce and other artisanal goods available that week and links you to this website. (Please note that deliveries are on a bi-weekly basis – see delivery locations) You can then browse the items on this website to make your order.

How do I order?

Each Saturday night, a list of available products is sent to all our registered customers by e-mail. We have listed the final order time for each pick-up day below. Orders can be placed here on our website or by going to The Market on our menu bar. Ordering through this web site is our preferred method as it is designed to reduce the amount of time it takes us to process orders as well as provide you with detailed information about our products. Please do not email your order.

For a Tuesday Pick-up – You can place your order anytime Sunday, or Monday up to 6 PM.

For a Thursday Pick-up – You can place your order anytime Tuesday, or Wednesday up to 6 PM.

How and When do I pay?

For greater security and to ease our work on delivery days, we have decided to use a prepay system for our A-La-Carte CSA.

When you sign up with our A-La-Carte CSA, you will make an initial deposit of $100. Once this deposit has been made, you can begin ordering. Each order you make will draw down on your deposit. You will need to make sure you have enough in your account to cover your order.

Please note that we have to manually go in and update each individual account when we receive a payment, so it may not show up right away. If this happens, feel free to continue ordering as usual and it will just compensate when we update your account.

A few points on payments:

  • Checks not Cash – First and foremost we would really prefer to receive check payments rather than cash. At the deliveries there really isn’t the time to write a receipt or note for every cash payment that comes in, which results in a stack of cash with no name attached to it… hmmm… so which account gets the credit? Please, if at all possible pay by check. :) It will be better for both of us. Also, please make sure to write “market” in the memo, this will ensure a speedy update.
  • $100 Payments – We are strongly and highly recommending (almost requiring ;) everyone to make their payments in $100 deposits that are then drawn down from. This will make deliveries much smoother since we will not have to deal with money transfers and will again – make life easier for both of us.
  • Pay Online – You can now credit your account online with your credit card via paypal. For this option just login and go to the “Your Account” page and follow the instructions provided. This is by far the easiest, fastest, and most efficient way to pay, although as you will notice there is a small service fee involved that would not be there if you pay directly by check.

You can check the status of your account at anytime by going to “Your Account” on the menu bar.

What if I forget to pick up my order?

If you call or email us within 24 hours of your pick-up we will hold your order for you to pick-up on our farm.

If we do not hear from you, any perishable goods (such as produce) will be donated to a worthy cause. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds on perishable goods since they have been picked or prepared just for you. Any durable goods from your order will be returned to their “grower”. You will be refunded for them, less a 20% processing fee.

Why Support Bountiful Blessings Market?

Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.

Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.

Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.

Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.

We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.
